आम आदमी पार्टी की ओर से गुजरात जोड़ो अभियान के तहत बाइक रैली आयोजित की गई. रैली के बाद टाउन हॉल में गोपाल इटालिया जनसभा को संबोधित कर रहे थे तभी दर्शकों में से एक व्यक्ति ने अचानक AAP विधायक गोपाल इटालिया पर जूता फेंक दिया. घटना के बाद मौके पर अफरा-तफरी मच गई. जैसे ही जूता फेंका गया वैसे ही स्टेज से एक महिला उठी और उसने नीचे कूदकर बाकी कार्यकर्ताओं संग जूता फेंकने वाले को पकड़ लिया और उसकी जमकर पिटाई की.
