October 2, 1998: Complaint by local Bishnoi community alleging that Salman Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Sonali Bendre and Neelam killed two black bucks while shooting for the film 'Hum Saath Saath Hain' in Jodhpur, Rajasthan.

April 10, 2006: Trial Court convicts Salman Khan. Actor is fined 25,000 INR and sentenced to 5 years of imprisonment. He spends a week in jail before being granted bail.

August 31, 2006: Rajasthan High Court suspends Trial Court sentence awarded to actor. Rajasthan High Court orders actor not to leave India without permission.

July 25, 2016: Rajasthan High Court acquits Salman Khan of all charges in Black Buck Poaching case and says there is no evidence to prove animals found dead were shot by the actor's licensed gun.

November 11, 2016: Salman Khan issued notice by Supreme Court on an appeal by Rajasthan Government challenging his acquittal. Top court agrees to fast-track the plea.

March 28, 2018: Final Arguments of the case completed in Trial Court. The Rajasthan Trial Court completes final arguments of case, but chief judicial magistrate reserves judgement.
