Dabangg 3 shoot has just started and the Salman Khan starrer seems to have run into a controvsersy already.
Some pics of a Shivling on the sets of the film emerged on social media which show the Shivling covered with wooden planks. The film's set was created on the banks of river Narmada in the religious town of Maheshwar in Madhya Pradesh.
The pics went viral and triggered a war of words between Congress party and BJP.
According to a BJP lawmaker, disrespect was shown towards Lord Shiva and there was a demand of registering an FIR against those who were responsible for the incident.
Salman Khan seems to have been hurt over this entire thing and issued a clarification in front of the media at Maheshwar where he said that the wooden planks were kept on the Shivling to protect it and maintain it's sanctity during the shooting of the movie. Later the planks were removed,he said.
Salman Khan has just started the shoot for the 3rd instalment. His co-star Sonakshi also joined the unit.
The line producer of the film Harsh Dave has tweeted that they had constructed a perimeter for the Shivlinga and had put two people on side to guard it to avoid people walking on it. He said that they had no intention of hurting anyone's religious sentiments and that they had relocated the set.
We just hope that with the clarifications the controversy dies a natural death once and for all.
