Bollywood actor Salman Khan found himself in the center of a new controversy while promoting his upcoming movie, ‘Sultan’. During the media interactions, Salman was quoted that after training for the film’s wrestling scenes, he felt like a raped woman.
In an interview published by an entertainment portal, Salman was quoted that after lifting a 120-kg guy, weightlifting and training for his role he could not talk and it made him feel like a raped woman. If that wasn’t enough to put off his fans, in the same interview, the 50-year-old actor referred to woman as a vice. Following the insensitive comments, Twitteratti expressed its outrage over Khan’s callous comparison to a rape victim.
Reportedly, Salman did try to take back his words in the interview where he said that he should not have made those comments.
Meanwhile, Salman’s father Salim Khan, who is used to apologizing for his son’s comments like during the Yakub Memon case, took to Twitter to say, “Undoubtedly what Salman said is wrong, the simili, example and the context. The intention was not wrong. Nevertheless I apologise on behalf of his family his fans & his friends. Forgiveness is to pardon the unpardonable or it is no virtue at all. To err is human to forgive divine. Today on Intl yoga day lets not run our shops on this mistake.”
