Roles that were not meant for Saif Ali Khan | Happy Birthday 2016

As our royal nawab grows older gracefully lets take a look at a few roles which helped Saif grow as an actor.
We are gonna tell you about someimpeccable characters that Saif wasn't supposed to play…ji ha, chalu kren lits?
First up, Parineeta's Shekhar! Sophistication personified Shekhar, Saif wold have been the perfect choice for it given he is a real life nawab…but guess what Movie's makers were not so sure,, but well…after this award winning film released, they knew they made the right choice.
This isn't the only role that was originally meant for another actor. Kal ho na ho's Rohit Patel…yes, the cute best friend every girl wants…as much as we loved SRK in that movie, Saif was a complete delight as rohit! But he wasn't the first choice for it, however the actor went on to win the filmfare award for best supporting actor for his role in Kal ho na ho.
Another award winning role was Langda Tyaagi of Omkara…thanks to Saif for playing such a negative role so beautifully. Saif got the best actor in a negative role award …but here also Saif wasn't the only contender, aamir was in for this role too. But Vishal Bhardwaj loved Saif's auditon so much that Bollywood got its irreplaceable langda tyaagi.
When we talk of brilliant perfrmaces of Saif, dil chaahta hai's Sameer has to be there in that lis…and guess what Sameer also falls in the list of characters that almost and another actor but Saif!
Dil chaahta hai was a milestone in Saif's career, but Saifu rejected the role. It was Dimple Kapadia who later convinced Saif for this part, and well,…the rest is a superhit history!
Here were a few roles that almost fell in other actors kitty but we are so glad Saif didn't let them go…and here's wishing Saif ali khan a happy birthday and a glorious life ahead!
