सरबजीत सिंह की बहन दलबीर कौर का निधन हो गया है. दलबीर कौर ने अपने भाई सरबजीत सिंह को छुड़ाने की बहुत कोशिश की थी. सरबजीत सिंह पर पाकिस्तान ने जासूस होने का आरोप लगा कर जेल में बंद कर दिया था. पाकिस्तान के जेल में ही सरबजीत की मृत्यु हो गई थी. उनकी मौत के बाद उनके जीवन पर बनी फिल्म में रणदीप हुड्डा ने सरबजीत का और ऐश्वर्या राय ने उनकी बहन दलबीर कौर का किरदार निभाया था
