डेरा सच्चा सौदा प्रमुख गुरमीत राम रहीम सिंह और चार अन्य को पंचकूला में सीबीआई की विशेष अदालत द्वारा सजा सुनाए जाने से पहले, पुलिस ने इलाके में धारा 144 लागू कर दी है, जिसमें 17 चेकपोस्ट स्थापित किए गए हैं, जहां प्रत्येक चेकपोस्ट में लगभग 700 सैनिक हैं। राम रहीम और 4 अन्य पर 2002 में अपने पूर्व मैनेजर रंजीत सिंह की कथित तौर पर हत्या करने का आरोप है।

Ahead of the sentencing of Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh and four others by a special CBI court in Panchkula, the police have imposed section 144 in the area, setting up 17 checkposts where each checkpost has around 700 soldiers. Ram Rahim and 4 others are accused of allegedly killing his former manager Ranjit Singh in 2002.
