राजस्थान में जैसलमेर को येलो सिटी के नाम से जाना जाता है क्योंकि यहां अधिकतर इमारतें पीले रंग के पत्थर से बनाई जाती है. जैसलमेर में कुल 2,50,000 वोटर है जिनमे से सबसे ज्यादा राजपूत समुदाय जो 63,000 की संख्या में है, मुस्लिम समुदाय जो 53000 की संख्या में है, SC समाज का 34,000 का वोट बैंक, ST समाज का 14,000, OBC का 50,000 का वोट बैंक होता है। लेकिन ये इलाका बेहद बड़ा है और इसका अधिकतर वोट बैंक दूर दराज के गांवों में रहता है जिनकी मुश्किल बेहद अलग और जटिल है।
