आम आदमी पार्टी के सांसद राघव चड्ढा को आज "विशेषाधिकार के उल्लंघन" के लिए राज्यसभा से निलंबित कर दिया गया, क्योंकि सांसदों की शिकायतों के बाद उन्होंने नियमों का उल्लंघन करते हुए उनकी सहमति के बिना उन्हें हाउस पैनल में नामित किया था। उच्च सदन ने सदन के नेता पीयूष गोयल द्वारा राघव चड्ढा को निलंबित करने के लिए एक प्रस्ताव पारित किया, जब तक कि विशेषाधिकार समिति विशेषाधिकार हनन के मामलों पर अपना निष्कर्ष प्रस्तुत नहीं कर देती। श्री गोयल ने आप नेता के "अनैतिक आचरण" की आलोचना की और इसे "नियमों की अपमानजनक अवहेलना" बताया।

Aam Aadmi Party MP Raghav Chadha was today suspended from the Rajya Sabha for "breach of privilege" after complaints from MPs alleging he named them in a house panel without their consent in violation of rules. The upper house passed a resolution moved by Piyush Goyal, leader of the house, to suspend Raghav Chadha till the privileges committee submits its findings on the cases of breach of privileges. Mr Goyal slammed the "unethical conduct" of the AAP leader, and called it an "outrageous disregard of the rules".
