Kaabil aur raees takraye box office pe, and we leave the argument open for you all to decide which movie was better…but we can definitely give you our opinion on what we thought about the looks of the leading ladies, Yami Gautam and Mahira Khan in their respective movies.
Lets start with Yami's girl next door look in Kaabil. Ye toh trailer dekh k hi aap samajh gaye honge ki Yaami ka look movie me bohot him simple hai. Make up na barabar, hair style -plain straight hair kept open, and dresses ki baat kren toh flowy one piece dresses ya phir Tops and jeans!
There was nothing much glamorous about the look, but the simplicity stole the show. Jahan aaj kal ki movies me actresses mehenge hair colours aur unse bhi mehengi dresses me hi dikhti hai, Yami ka kaabil log ek pleasant change tha.
Moving on to Raees' lading lady, Pakistani beauty Mahira Khan. Raees is set in the 80s, so staying true to the era, Mahira's character was all about traditional, and especially- kurtas. The costume designer has played wioth a bunch of variety here…anarkali se le ke long line kurte, laces and chiffon dupattas…there is a lot of variety in the traditional attire Mahira flaunted.
Pastel colours and deep back and necklines, ne unke look ka glamour quotient aur bhi badha diya. Make up was largely comprising kaajal on eyelis and subtle cheek blushes.
Also, bade bade jhumke and heavy accessories ka bhi khoobsurat istemaal hua hai mahira k look me.
