हमास और इजरायल में जारी संघर्ष में रूस ने फिलिस्तीन का समर्थन किया है. रूस के राष्ट्रपति व्लादिमीर पुतिन ने इस संघर्ष के लिए अमेरिका को जिम्मेदार ठहराते हुए कहा है कि मध्य पूर्व में आज जो भी स्थिति है उसके लिए अमेरिका जिम्मेदार है. पुतिन ने यह भी कहा कि सबसे पहले संयुक्त राष्ट्र सुरक्षा परिषद के निर्णय के तहत एक स्वतंत्र और संप्रभु फिलिस्तीनी देश बनाने की जरूरत है.
