Champions of the inaugural season of the Pro Kabaddi League Jaipur Pink Panthers could not even manage to qualify for the playoffs of season 8. They finished the season in 8th spot in the points table and now its 4th consecutive season of PKL where they haven't qualified for the knockout stage of the tournament. There were a lot of things that didn't go as planned for Jaipur Pink Panthers. Their original captain Deepak Niwas Hooda left captaincy midway through the season. Thereafter Sandeep Dhull's led team was continuously leaking points in defence during the whole season. Only positive they could take back from the season is the performance of their star raider Arjun Deshwal who led the charge in raiding for the team and performed brilliantly throughout the season for them as a lone wolf.
