सूडान में सेना और अर्धसैनिक बल एक-दूसरे की खून के प्यासे हो चुके हैं और बीते करीब 10 दिनों से एक-दूसरे से ही युद्ध लड़ रहे हैं. हालांकि अंतर्राष्ट्रीय दबाव के कारण दोनों सैन्य बलों ने 72 घंटे के युद्धविराम का ऐलान कर दिया है. ये युद्धविराम इसीलिए लागू हुआ है ताकि सूडान में फंसे दूसरे देश के नागरिक देश छोड़ दें.डान में गृह युद्ध के पीछे जिम्मेदार हैं सूडान के आर्मी चीफ जनरल अब्देल फतह अल-बुरहान जो वहां के राष्ट्रपति भी हैं.
