अपने मन की बात के 119 वें एपिसोड में पीएम ने कहा, हमारे यहां वनस्पति और जीव-जंतुओ का एक बहुत ही Vibrant Eco-System है, और ये वन्य जीव, हमारे इतिहास और संस्कृति में रचे-बसे हुए हैं। कई जीव-जन्तु हमारे देवी-देवताओं की सवारी के तौर पर भी देखे जाते हैं। मध्य भारत में कई जन-जातियां बाघेश्वर की पूजा करती हैं। महाराष्ट्र में वाघोबा के पूजन की परंपरा रही है। भगवान अयप्पा का भी बाघ से बहुत गहरा नाता है। सुंदरवन में बोनबीबी की पूजा-अर्चना होती है, जिनकी सवारी बाघ है। हमारे यहां कर्नाटका के हुली वेशा, तमिलनाडु के पूली और केरला के पुलिकली जैसे कई Cultural Dances हैं, जो Nature और Wild Life के साथ जुड़े हुए हैं।
