Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas got engaged today according to Hindu rituals and the priest, who conducted the pooja at PeeCee’s house gave us some details about the ceremony.

As her priest walked out of her house, he was questioned by the media about the rituals that were conducted at her house and he said, “Priyanka ji aur unke honey waley pati Nick ji unke Jeevan mein sukh, shanti, samriddhi ke liye aur unke jeevan mein unki safalta ke liye hum logo ne pooja-path kiya, iske baad jaisa ki karyakram tha unke sagai ka, wo sab poora hua (We performed a pooja for Priyanka and her would-be-husband, Nick Jonas for their well-being and prosperity. After the pooja they had the engagement ceremony).”

When asked what pooja did he conduct, he revealed, “Ganpati ji ki pooja thi, dono log baithey they, unka poora parivar sath mein tha. Sagai vagera kya hua hum log ko nahi pata, kyunki hum pooja kar rahey they (We did Ganpati pooja and both Priyanka and Nick participated in it along with their respective families. We don’t know about the engagement ceremony as we were busy conducting the prayers).”

A grand engagement bash will be held at her residence this evening.
