सऊदी अरब के क्राउन प्रिंस मोहम्‍मद बिन सलमान अपनी भारत यात्रा से पहले पाकिस्तान जाने वाले थे लेकिन आखिरी वक्त पर उन्होंने अपना प्लान बदल दिया और वह डायरेक्ट जी-20 शिखर सम्मलेन में भाग लेने नई दिल्ली आ गए. इसके साथ ही सम्मलेन के दौरान भारत-पश्चिम एशिया और यूरोप के बीच कॉरिडोर बनाए जाने को लेकर समझौता हुआ, जिसमें सऊदी अरब महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभा रहा है. और यह बात पड़ोसी देश पाकिस्तान को रास नहीं आ रही है. पकिस्तान के लोग भारत और सऊदी की नजदीकियों से बौखलाए हुए हैं.
