Om Puri Exclusive Interview On Jai Ho Democracy | Censorship

In this Bollywood Hungama exclusive interview with Content Head Broadband Faridoon Shahryar, Om Puri talks about his film 'Jai Ho! Democracy' and how it's inspired from real life politicians and happenings in the assembly. He expresses shock over the fact that parliamentarians in India at times have resorted to violence and chaos and says that they should learn discipline from their British counterparts. He feels that too much is being made about the recent incidents of attack on minorities and their religious institutions. He also criticizes the trend of using abusive language in films and admits that the banning of certain objectionable words by the new Censor Board is justified. He admits that using no-smoking disclaimer in films is unjustified. He then looks back at his journey and explains why he's grateful to both art and commercial cinema. He also admits that he's proud of his work on television. He speaks about his wonderful association with his contemporary Naseeruddin Shah and why there is never any jealousy between the two. He also raises laughs when asked to react to Naseeruddin's recent statement that he was jealous of Om Puri's intimate scene with Mallika Sherawat in 'Dirty Politics'.
