इजरायल और फिलिस्तीनियों के बीच खूनी विवाद हर दिन अंतरराष्ट्रीय सुर्खियां बनते हैं। बुधवार को इस्राइली पुलिस के जवान अल-अक्सा मस्जिद में घुस गए और ताबड़तोड़ फायरिंग शुरू कर दी. जिसके बाद सऊदी अरब और तुर्की ने इस हमले की कड़ी निंदा की है । तो इसे मसले के चलते सीरिया से रॉकेट दागे जाने के बाद रविवार को इजराइल के युद्धक विमानों और तोपों ने सीरिया के कई स्थानों पर गोलाबारी की. गोलाबारी के बीच, यरुशलम के अशांत धार्मिक स्थल पर यहूदी और मुस्लिम समुदाय में तनाव चरम पर पहुंच गया है. हजारों यहूदी श्रद्धालु यरुशलम की ‘पश्चिमी दीवार’ के पास एकत्रित हुए, जिसके लिए यहूदी समुदाय के बीच काफी गहरी आस्था है. यहूदी समुदाय के लोग पासोवर त्योहार के उपलक्ष्य में ‘पश्चिमी दीवार’ पर सामूहिक रूप से प्रार्थना करते हैं ।
