Naya Din Nai Raat is a 1974 movie starring Sanjeev Kumar and Jaya Bhaduri. The plot revolves around the navras (essence) of life. These essence are wonder, fear, kindness, anger, devotion, hatred, love, bravery and happiness. In this movie Sushma is a college student who is in love with her classmate Anand. Anand is on a leave for few days as he has gone to visit his mother. Sushma realises that he hasn't returned on the said date. On inquiring she comes to know that his mother is severly ill and wants him to get married before she dies. Therefore Anand has extended his leave to get married. This shatters Sushma, she leaves for Anand's village, on reaching there she realises that Anand has left for the wedding. She thinks of committing suicide. She is stopped by a man, who takes her to his house. Here begins her journey from one essence of life to another. Watch her interesting journey and find out whether Anand actually got married that day.
