A minute's silence was held at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium before the start of the match between Real Madrid and Betis in memory of Raymond Kopa and Juan Carlos Touriño, who died on 3 and 8 March, respectively. Kopa played at Real Madrid between 1956 and 1959, while Touriño did so from 1970 to 1976. In addition, Real Madrid players wore black armbands.
