Water Crisis In Shahapur: मुबंई जिसे सपनों का शहर कहा जाता है, जहां बड़ी संख्या में हजारों लोग फिल्मी स्टार बनने का सपना लेकर आते हैं. उसी मुंबई के शाहपुर इलाके के छोटे बच्चे खुद ही अपने सपनों को कुचलने के लिए मजबूर हैं. दरअसल शाहपुर पिछले 4 दशकों से कुएं का गंदा पानी पीने के लिए मजबूर है. शाहपुर में आने वाले 5 गांव के लोग एक ही कुएं के भरोसे जिंदा हैं. इस कुएं पर करीब 1000 लोगों की जिंदगी निर्भर करती है. लेकिन इस कुएं में भी टैंकरों के जरिए गंदा पानी भरा जाता है, जिसे लोग खाना बनाने और पीने के लिए उपयोग कर रहे हैं. गंदा पानी पीने से लोग बीमार पड़ रहे हैं. शाहपुर तालुका में तानसा, भात्सा, वैतरणा और मध्य वैतरणा जैसे बांध मौजूद हैं लेकिन इनका पानी गांव वालों को नहीं मिलता. इन बांधों का पानी मुंबई शहर पहुंचा दिया जाता है जबकि शहापुर के इलाके में मौजूद करीब 198 गांवों के लोग एक-एक गिलास साफ पानी के लिए मोहताज हैं.

But dirty water is also filled in this well through tankers, which people are using for cooking and drinking. People are falling ill after drinking dirty water. There are dams like Tansa, Bhatsa, Vaitarna, and Madhya Vaitarna in Shahapur taluka but their water is not available to the villagers. The water of these dams is supplied to the Mumbai city, while the people of about 198 villages in the area of ​​Shahapur are dependent on a single glass of clean water.
