After impressing us with Hindi Medium and Stree, Dinesh Vijan is now ready entertain the audiences with his next, Luka Chuppi and his upcoming production venture gives a new twist to a live-in relationship.
Set in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, the film revolves around Guddu, who wants to get married to his ladylove Rashmi however, his girlfriend is in no mood to get married and instead suggests that they should get into a live-in relationship.
They rent a house and start staying together however, to make sure that the neighbours don’t create any ruckus they tell them that they are a married couple however, all hell breaks loose, when their families come to know about it. They invite their ‘bahu’ to stay with them, much to her annoyance and what happens then forms the rest of the plot.
The film will give you a feel of Bareilly Ki Barfi as the milieu is similar but Kartik and Kriti’s jodi is refreshing. Their chemistry is amazing and they are convincing as a modern couple from a small town. Kartik Aaryan impresses with his charm and Kriti is bindass as Rashmi. The trailer has many funny moments and while we didn’t get to see much of Aparshakti Khurrana, Vinay Pathak and Pankaj Tripathi in it, they are awesome in whatever little screen time they have. The makers have also recreated 'Yeh Khabar Chapva Do Akhbar Mein’ from Akshay Kumar-Urmila Matondakar’s 1997 release Aflatoon for their rom-com.
Directed by Laxman Utekar, the film is slated to release on March 1.
