शपथ से पहले मोदी ने अपने आवास पर कई सांसदों को बुलाकर चर्चा करते हुए मंत्रीमंडल को भी लगभग फाइनल कर दिया है. तो वहीं लोकसभा स्पीकर का नाम अभी फाइनल नहीं हुआ है.लोकसभा स्पीकर को लेकर विपक्ष भी एक्टिव दिखाई दे रहा है. आम आदमी पार्टी के सांसद संजय सिंह ने कहा है कि लोकसभा में गैर भाजपा स्पीकर बनाने के लिए विपक्ष प्रयास करेगा। उन्होंने दावा किया कि तेलुगु देशम पार्टी (टीडीपी) लोकसभा स्पीकर का पद चाहता है। अगर भाजपा ने उसे यह पद नहीं दिया तो विपक्षी गठबंधन आइएनडीआइए उसका समर्थन करेगा।
