कानपुर हिंसा मामले में पुलिस प्रशासन एक्शन में दिखाई दे रहा है. लगातार आरोपियों की गिरफ्तारी की जा रही है. इस हिंसा का मास्टरमाइंड हयात जफर हाशमी पुलिस रिमांड पर है। हयात जफर हाशमी से पूछताछ में सामने आया है कि कानपुर का बिल्डर हाजी वसी फंडिंग कर रहा था। कानपुर कमिश्नरेट पुलिस ने केडीए से तीन आरोपियों की संपत्ति सील की है। पुलिस ने तीन ऐसे आरोपियों को चिह्नित किया है, जिनकी कानपुर हिंसा में भूमिका थी या फिर घटना में सहयोग किया था। अभी तक कि जांच में यह पता चला है कि हयात जफर हाशमी ने पहले से ही व्हाट्सएप ग्रुप बनाकर शहर में बड़ा बवाल करने की तैयारी कर ली थी. हालांकि 27 मई को इस बवाल की कोई जानकारी नहीं दी गई. हाशमी ने इस हिंसा के लिए 141 व्हाट्सग्रुप बनाए थे. बवाल से आधे घंटे पहले हाशमी व अन्य लोगों ने अपने मोबाइल स्विच ऑफ कर दिए थे. इतना ही नहीं तैयारी और साजिश के तहत शहर के कई इलाकों से नई सड़क के आस-पास की मस्जिदों में नमाज पढ़ने के लिए लोगों को बुलाया गया था.

Half an hour before the ruckus, Hashmi and others had switched off their mobiles. Not only this, as part of preparation and conspiracy, people were called from many areas of the city to offer Namaz in mosques around the new road.
