'Qila' is the story of an evil landowner Jagannath Singh (Dilip Kumar) who is murdered and his twin brother Amarnath Singh (also Dilip Kumar) decides to investigate. The prime suspects include son Amar (Mukul Dev), wife Suman (Smita Jaykar) and a woman named Yamini (Rekha), who claims to have been raped by Jagannath and many more of his enemies who wanted him dead. The killer is finally revealed as the story unfolds through many twists and turns.
Veteran actor Dilip Kumar retired after the release of this film.
