Former champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) take on Delhi Daredevils (DD), in Match 2 of the cash-
rich 2016 Indian Premier League (IPL) at the historic Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata. This is the
opening tie for both the sides, and either of them would look to get off to a winning start and set the
records straight. Although KKR would be the favorites to win this tie, considering this being their
home tie, DD cannot be written out of this contest, considering their previous fair record against
them and they also possess a good firepower in the side to do so. KKR would be chasing for their
record third title this season, having won the title previously and successfully in 2012 and 2014.
While DD, who managed to reach the semi-finals in the inaugural edition in 2008, will look to go
beyond that this season, and feature in the play-offs for the first time ever.
