Rasika Shekar is a trained Carnatic Flautist (Flute player) and has performed solo Carnatic flute concerts at venues located in the US, Dubai, Chennai and Mumbai. She was signed by Shankar Mahadevan to sing a song opposite his son and singer, Siddharth Mahadevan for the film, 2 States. A turning point in her career came when she featured as a Flautist on Ehsaan and Loy's (of Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy fame) television production single Man Patang. She has also worked with Bollywood music composers like Clinton Cerejo, Amit Trivedi, Papon and rapper Blaaze. Rasika also played the Flute in Kikli Kalerdi, a fun song from Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana.

Rasika has toured with legendary musician Ustad Ghulam Ali Khan Sahab as a vocalist for three years. She also performed at the World Flute Festival in New Delhi last year playing the Flute to her own composition.

It was Rasika's love for music that made her travel to India to explore many forms of music. Her music is a blend of street-driven Jazz and Blues layered with the playful styles of Sufi music, mixed with Carnatic and Hindustani music.

Rasika sang Sau Aasoon from Katti Batti on the show and also played the Flute for her audience watching this episode of ETC Bollywood Business.
