गुजरात में इस साल के अंत में विधानसभा चुनाव होने हैं.पर चुनाव से पहले गृह मंत्रालय ने एक बड़ा फैसला लिया है. आणंद और मेहसाणा में रहने वाले गैर मुस्लिम लोगों को दी जाएगी भारत की नागरिकता, ये लोग भारत के पड़ोसी मुल्कों पाकिस्तान, बांग्लादेश और अफगानिस्तान से आकर यहां रह रहे थे. नागरिकता कानून 1955 के तहत इन लोगों को भारतीय नागरिकता दी जाएगी.

Assembly elections are due in Gujarat later this year. But before the elections, the Home Ministry has taken a big decision. Indian citizenship will be given to non-Muslim people living in Anand and Mehsana, these people were residing here from neighboring countries of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan. These people will be given Indian citizenship under the Citizenship Act 1955.
