Kalki Koechlin on playing Laila in Margarita With A Straw | Komal Nahta

Acclaimed Film and Theatre Actress, Kalki Koechlin talks about becoming Laila in Shonali Bose's 'Margarita With A Straw'. Kalki plays a cerebral palsy patient in the film which has been getting much-appreciation from the world- over. The actress speaks about her experience of working on this film, and preparing for the role which she admits is her most-difficult film role ever. Kalki Koechlin was the first choice for the film but due to date issues, she had initially declined the role. But as luck would have it, it was meant to be and the crew waited for Kalki.
Kalki is also a successful theatre artist and will be directing a play this year that shall also star 'NH10' actor Neil Bhoopalam. Margarita With A Straw also stars Revathy in a pivotal role, Sayani Gupta and other actors.
