भारत और कनाडा, दोनों देशों की ओर से राजनयिक निष्‍कासन की घटना और कनाडाई प्रधानमंत्री जस्टिन ट्रूडो के गंभीर आरोपों के बाद भारत लगातार सख्‍त रुख अपनाए हुए है. पहले दोनों देशों के बीच होने वाली द्विपक्षीय व्‍यापार बैठक रद्द कर दी गई. इसके बाद भारत ने कनाडाई नागरिकों के लिए वीजा जारी करने पर भी रोक लगा दी. ट्रूडो लगातार भारत पर आरोप लगा रहे हैं जबकि भारत ने इस मामले में पूरी तरह से दो टूक कनाडा को जवाब दिया है.
