जवाहर लाल नेहरू विश्वविद्यालय (JNU) में गुरुवार को विजयादशमी की शाम दुर्गा प्रतिमा विसर्जन के दौरान बवाल हो गया. अखिल भारतीय विद्यार्थी परिषद (ABVP) के कार्यकर्ताओं और नेताओं ने कहा कि मूर्ति विसर्जन के दौरान AISA, SFI, DSF जैसे वामपंथी छात्र संगठनों ने साबरमती टी-प्वाइंट पर शाम लगभग 7 बजे विसर्जन में शामिल विद्यार्थियों पर चप्पल दिखाए, पत्थरबाजी की और अभद्र नारेबाजी की. इस घटना में कुछ छात्राएं और विद्यार्थी घायल हुए. हालांकि इस मामले में पुलिस के पास अभी तक कोई शिकायत दर्ज नहीं कराई गई है.

Chaos erupted at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) on Thursday evening during the immersion of Durga idols on Vijayadashami. Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) activists and leaders said that left-wing student organizations like AISA, SFI, and DSF threw slippers, threw stones, and shouted profane slogans at students participating in the immersion at the Sabarmati T-point around 7 p.m. during the immersion. Some female students and male students were injured in the incident. However, no police complaint has yet been filed.
