Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 7: Ranvir Shorey replaces Manish Paul and Kapil Sharma as the host
by
Ranvir Shorey, who is currently seen in Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 5, has been finalised to host the upcoming seventh season of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, we hear. And apparently, it's his cheeky sense of humour that prompted the makers to rope him.
As you will know, previous season of this celebrity dance reality show was jointly hosted by Manish Paul and Kapil Sharma. But due to their respective choc-a-bloc schedules, the duo couldn't be a part of this season. While the Comedy Nights with Kapil host is gearing up for his Bollywood debut film, Bank Chor, Manish on the other hand is busy shooting for Tere Bin Laden 2 along with Ali Zafar and Sikander Kher. However, there were also rumours about a tiff between Manish and Kapil, after the former went on to host the latter's arch rival Sunil Grover's show, Mad In India.
Anyway, now that Ranvir has been roped in to host Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 7, we wonder if his comic timing will match up to that of Manish and Kapil. We also hear that the makers are also on the lookout for a female co-host this season. In all probablility, comedian Bharti Singh is expected to be Mr Shorey's hosting partner. However, she has not confirmed anything, yet.
The 13 contestants, who have been finalised on the show, are cricketer S Sreesanth, VJ Andy, Bollywood actors Purab Kohli and Sophie Choudry, TV actors Ashish Sharma, Karan Tacker, Kritika Kamra, Puja Banerjee, Mouni Roy, Kiku Sharda, Shakti Mohan and Akshat Singh, as well as singer Sukhwinder Singh.
Madhuri Dixit, Karan Johar and Remo D'souza will be judging the show.
