Part One looks into the phenomenon of the host industry in Japan. The philosophy behind Club Fantasy, located in the seedy Kabukicho district of Shinjuku is that customers are offered the opportunity to spend time with "pop idols that you can actually meet".

Part Two takes things to the next level, where hosts battle for fame in the ring. Utage is an underground fighting tournament where the fighters are recruited from host clubs around the country. Loud hairstyles, booze, and cigarettes are involved before their bodies get smacked around in the ring.
