Maddy will be playing the coach of Mary Kom in his upcoming film
R Madhavan will be playing a female boxer's coach in an upcoming film. Now before you jump to any conclusion, let us make it clear that Maddy will not be essaying Priyanka Chopra's coach in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's biopic directed by Omung Kumar. Instead the 3 Idiots actor will seen as the coach of a real life boxer in a different film, which will mark the debut of Sudha Kongura. For those of you who do not know Kongura, she was once an assistant to Mani Ratnam.
This film will be produced by Ashvini Yardi and we hear that Madhavan is preparing for his character for almost a year now in LA. Maddy will shift from his romantic and zombie avatar and will don a rugged look in this movie. That's not all. The film unlike PeeCee's will have a real boxer putting the gloves on-screen.
