PLA के करीब 300-400 हथियारबंद सैनिक पूरी योजना बनाकर इस इलाके में 17 हजार 500 फुट की ऊंचाई वाली सबसे ऊंची चोटी यांगत्से पर कब्जे के लिए पहंचे थे. लेकिन पहले से चोटी पर मुस्तैद भारतीय सैनिकों (Indian Army) ने पीट-पीटकर हथियारबंद चीनी सैनिकों को पीठ दिखाकर भागने को मजबूर कर दिया. इस घटना के बाद दोनों देशों के बीच पहले से चल रहे तनाव में और इजाफा हो गया है और सैनिक तैयारियां फिर से जोर पकड़ने लगी हैं.
