It's Kalki Koechlin's birthday!

Born to French parents in Pondicherry, Kalki Koechelin did her schooling in Ooty, where she was born, and then took off to study drama and theatre in the UK.

She broke into the Hindi film scene with Anurag Kashyap's 2009 blockbuster film Dev.D. She won the Filmfare Award for the Best Supporting Actor for Dev.D, and went on to score another nomination for Zoya Akhtar's 2011 hit film Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. Besides acting in movies, Kalki has been involved in theater as well. SHe has also written the edgy The Girl IN Yellow Boots.

2013 saw her in interesting roles in Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani and Ek Thhi Dayan but it also saw her three year old marriage with Anurag Kashyap end.

Irrespective, we hope that the very hot Kalki grows from strength to strength in her proffesional and personal life.
