The dishy actor/si/nger/writer/filmmaker Farhan Akhtar turns 39 tomorrow and we wish him a very happy birthday.

He broke into the film scene when we wrote and directed the very edgy Dil Chahta Hai that also won the national award for best feature film and there hasn't been any looking back since. Little known fact about him that the first video he directed was Shankar Mahadevan's breathless music video.

After directing lakshya and Don, Farhan also proved his mettle as an actor witht he very cool Rock On. Good news for Rock on fans is that he's working on a sequel to the film. His work in sister Zoya Akhtar's films Luck By Chance as well as Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara won him his much deserved accolades for the portrayal of his characters.

2013 was a good year for him as he played the character of Indian athlete Milkha Singh in the record breaking Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. Feb 2014 will also see him in the much awaited Shaadi ke Side Effects opposite talented actress Vidya Balan


Married to hairstylist Adhuna Bhabani Akhtar, Farhan is blessed with two daughters, Shakya and Akira. We wish Farhan a very happy birthday and a great year ahead!
