Half Girlfriend Trailer Review | Arjun Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor

Fans of Chetan Bhagat rejoice, as the trailer of the film adaptation of your favourite author’s novel, Half Girlfriend, which has been directed by Mohit Suri, is out now.

The film stars Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead roles and follows the journey of their characters, Madhav Jha and Riya Somani. Madhav, who hails from Bihar, gets himself enrolled in a prestigious college. There he falls for the college’s ‘it’ girl Riya however, he knows he won’t be able to fit in her ‘English medium’ world.

Eventually, she becomes his Half Girlfriend but Madhav wants more out of this relationship. When Riya moves out of the country, Madhav follows her and what happens then forms the rest of the plot.

This is the first time Arjun and Shraddha have come together for a film and they do bring a certain amount of freshness on screen. The film has been shot beautifully and will definitely strike a chord with GenNext.

Shot in New York, Cape Town, New Delhi and Bihar, the movie also stars Vikrant Massey and Rhea Chakraborty and is slated to release on May 19.
