Varanasi Survey LIVE: The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) will begin the scientific survey of the Gyanvapi mosque complex from Monday, according to Varanasi District Magistrate S Rajalingam. On Sunday, the ASI team reached Varanasi with all the required equipment. "We got the information from ASI (Archaeological Survey of India) that the survey will begin tomorrow...we have not been told about the timings yet...we are doing all the necessary preparations in terms of security", said Varanasi District Magistrate S Rajalingam on Sunday.

Notably, a Varanasi Court on Friday gave directions to conduct an ASI survey of the Gyanvapi mosque complex, excluding the 'Wazukhana' area which has been sealed. "I have been informed that my application has been approved and the court has given directions to conduct an ASI survey of the Gyanvapi mosque complex, excluding the Wazukhana which has been sealed. I think the survey can be completed within 3 to 6 months," said advocate Vishnu Shankar Jain appearing for the Hindu side.

Gyanvapi: उत्तर प्रदेश के वाराणसी में काशी विश्वनाथ मंदिर के करीब स्थित मां श्रृंगार गौरी-ज्ञानवापी मस्जिद मामले में कोर्ट के फैसले के बाद आज सोमवार को ASI सर्वे कर सकता है. ASI की टीम वजूखाना को छोड़कर सभी पश्चिमी दीवार और तीनों पिलर समेत पूरे इलाके का सर्वे करेगी. सर्वे को लेकर रविवार को हिंदू पक्षकारों और अधिवक्ताओं के साथ पुलिस कमिश्नर ने अचानक बैठक की. हिंदू पक्षकार सोहनलाल आर्य ने कहा कि सोमवार से सर्वे शुरू हो सकता है.

हिन्दू पक्ष के अधिवक्ता सुभाष नंदन चतुर्वेदी ने बताया कि जिला अदालत द्वारा 4 अगस्त को एएसआई की टीम को कोर्ट बुलाया गया था. उससे पहले ही पुलिस कमिश्नर ने अचानक रविवार रात को हिंदू पत्रकार और अधिवक्ताओं को बुलाकर बैठक की है. साफ तौर से अधिवक्ताओं का कहना है कि सोमवार से सर्वे का काम शुरू हो सकता है.
