धोरडो गांव के लोगों से जब हमने पूछा कि आगामी चुनाव में गांव के लोगों की पहली पसंद कौन है तो जवाब मिला भारतीय जनता पार्टी और इसके पीछे गांव वालों की तरफ से सिर्फ एक ही कारण बताया गया कि गांव का विकास और युवाओं को मिल रहे रोजगार के चलते इस गांव के लोग बीजेपी के अलावा किसी और को नहीं चूनना चाहते. उनका कहना था कि गांव के साथ-साथ इस इलाके के अन्य 44 गांव का भी विकास हुआ है इसलिए वह सभी बीजेपी को ही वोट देंगे.

The people of Dhordo village seem to have a very strong opinion about who they will bring to power in the upcoming Gujarat elections. When we reached out to them, the most common answer was Bharatiya Janata Party. The reason behind this unanimous choice is the work done by the party in favor of the people and their development. Gujarat residents seem to be very happy with the way youth is getting better employment opportunities under the present government. Perhaps, that is why the people are not in favor of bringing any other party to power. As per the people, not just Dhordo but 44 other villages have also been developed under the present government, hence almost everybody is in favour of BJP.
