http://www.ironammonite.comA typical encounter in the Great bear Rainforest. This is the only road for hundreds of miles (an old logging road). The bears use it when the river is high and the gravel banks are covered - it's currently 10metres higher after 15inches of rain! So long as we give them space they just plod on by. Beautiful animal. Respect for wildlife.
