Gorakhpur Ward Name Change Live Updates: शासन द्वारा निकायों में वार्डों की संख्या और जनसंख्या को लेकर जारी नई गाइडलाइन के बाद नगर निगम में वार्डों की संख्या 80 हो गई है। इसकी पुष्टि नगर आयुक्त अविनाश सिंह ने की है। उन्होंने कहा कि अब गोरखपुर में और विकास होगा। नगर निगम में 32 गांवों के जुड़ने के बाद वार्डों की संख्या में यह बढ़ोतरी हुई है। बता दें कि नगर निगम में 80 निर्वाचित और 10 मनोनीत मिलाकर अब कुल 90 पार्षद होंगे। बीते दिनों नगर आयुक्त ने इस संदर्भ में मुख्य मंत्री से मुलाकात भी की थी। नगर निगम ने 70 से साथ ही 80 वार्डों को लेकर भी खांका तैयार कर रखा है। दरअसल, परिसीमन के बाद नगर निगम के वार्डों की संख्या को लेकर पिछले कई दिनों से कई तरह के कयास लगाए जा रहे थे। शुरुआत में परिसीमन के लिए गठित नगर निगम की कमेटी ने शासन के निर्देशानुसार वार्डों की संख्या को 70 रखते हुए रिपोर्ट शासन को भेज दी थी। लेकिन, इसके बाद भी वार्डों की संख्या बढ़ने को लेकर कयास लगते रहे।

In fact, after the delimitation, many speculations were being made about the number of wards of the Municipal Corporation for the last several days. Initially, the committee of the Municipal Corporation constituted for the delimitation had sent the report to the government keeping the number of wards at 70 as per the instructions of the government. But, even after this, there were speculations about the increase in the number of wards.
