G20 Summit Live Updates: India is hosting the G20 summit for the first time and the first day of the Summit was concluded successfully with New Delhi inviting the African Union as the permanent member of the group at the sprawling Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi's Pragati Maidan for the 18th G20 Summit.

On the first day of the summit, PM Modi in his address to the world leaders called upon G20 members to grant the permanent membership of the group to the African Union. With G20 members' agreement, PM Modi invited the President of the Union of Comoros and Chairperson of the African Union (AU), Azali Assoumani to take his seat as the Union becomes a permanent member of the G20.
Today, on the second day of the G20 Summit, the third session- 'One Future' will take place at the venue but before the session, world leaders and delegates will reach Rajghat to lay wreaths at Mahatma Gandhi's Samadhi.

On the crucial Day 2 of the G20 Summit security has been stepped up in parts of the national capital on Sunday. According to the Delhi Traffic Police alert, "Police Controlled Zone 2 has been implemented and consequently, buses will not operate on Ring Road between ISBT Kashmiri Gate and Sarai Kale Khan. Buses will operate on the remaining stretch of Ring Road and the road network beyond Ring Road towards the borders of Delhi."
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to hold a working lunch meeting with President Emmanuel Macron of France on Sunday. Macron arrived in New Delhi a day ago to attend the two-day-long G20 Summit hosted by India under its Presidency. Macron is due to hold bilateral meetings over the two-day summit with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva among others.
