Easy Gingerbread Cake Recipe in Tamil

Ingredients for gingerbread cake:
Flour -- 2 cups
Ginger powder -- 1 tsp
Ginger paste -- 1/2 tsp
Cloves -- a few (grounded)
Salt -- to taste
Baking soda -- 1 tsp
Butter -- 1/2 cup
Sugar -- 1 cup
Grated rind of one lemon
Eggs -2
Milk - 1 cup

Method of making gingerbread cake:
Preheat the oven to 325 Fahrenheit (163 Celsius)
Mix the dry ingredients together -- flour, salt, baking soda, ginger powder, fresh ginger and the cloves.
In another bowl, add the butter, half a cup of the sugar and whisk with an electric mixer or a hand mixer.
Add the eggs, the lemon rind and remaining sugar and blend the mixture together.
Mix in half of the milk and flour mixture. Once the mixture is smooth, add the remaining milk and flour mixture and blend.
Pour the batter into the cake pan. Bake for 30 minutes at 325 Fahrenheit (163 Celsius).
Finish off with icing sugar mixed with cinnamon.
