बाबा बागेश्वर 13 मई से पटना में हनुमान कथा सुना रहे थे। कथा के पहले दिन से लेकर आज आखिरी दिन तक बिहार की सत्ताधारी पार्टियों की नींद हराम हो गई थी। इस कथा आयोजन में पहुंच रही लाखों लोगों की भीड़ और हिंदू एकता और हिंदू राष्ट्र वाले संबोधन से, नीतीश और तेजस्वी की इफ्तार राजनीति खतरे में पड़ती नजर आई। दरअसल हिंदू राष्ट्र की बात करने वाले बाबा बागेश्वर की विचारधारा, बीजेपी से मिलती है, यही बात बिहार की सत्ताधारी पार्टियों और केंद्र में विपक्ष के नेताओं को परेशान कर रही थी। अगर बाबा बागेश्वर की जगह कोई और संत होता, तो शायद उसके खिलाफ कोई ना कोई एक्शन जरूर हो जाता। संत के कार्यक्रम को लेकर कोई ना कोई पेंच जरूर फंसा होता। लेकिन बिहार के लोगों में बाबा बागेश्वर के क्रेज को देखते हुए, कुछ नहीं किया गया। आज हम DNA में बाबा बागेश्वर के इसी क्रेज की बात करेंगे और इनके विरोध की वजह जानने की कोशिश करेंगे। हम ये जानना चाहते हैं कि बाबा बागेश्वर का विरोध, हिंदू एकता वाले विचार की वजह से है, या फिर मुस्लिम तुष्टीकरण की राजनीति की वजह से।
