DNA: Foreign vaccine companies were blackmailing India

For the first time, the Health Ministry has revealed why a foreign vaccine could never come to India. Moderna and Pfizer's vaccine were seeing India as a big market and both these American companies felt that India would never be able to vaccinate more than 136 crore population of their country without a foreign vaccine.

पहली बार स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय ने ये खुलासा किया है कि भारत में विदेशी वैक्सीन कभी क्यों नहीं आ पाई. दरअसल इसकी वजह थी विदेशी वैक्सीन कंपनियों की दादागिरी. मॉडर्ना और फाइज़र की वैक्सीन भारत को एक बड़े बाजार के तौर पर देख रहीं थीं और इन दोनों अमेरिकी कंपनियों को लगता था कि भारत कभी विदेशी वैक्सीन के बिना अपने देश की 136 करोड़ से ज्यादा आबादी को वैक्सीन नहीं लगा पाएगा.
