Noted actor-filmmaker-writer Neeraj Vora, who has directed films like Khiladi 420 and Phir Hera Pheri, has been in coma since past two months at Delhi's AIIMS.

The filmmaker, who had played key roles in Rangeela, Mann, Bol Bachchan, Welcome Back and Baadshah to name a few, suffered a brain stroke, while he was in Delhi in October 2016 and is in coma since then.

His condition has improved a little and now, he has been shifted from the ICU, where he was on ventilator support, to a ward in the Cardio-Neuro Tower however, he is still in coma.

In October 2016, he was travelling with Paresh Rawal's driver and he told the latter that he has not been keeping well since quite some days and often experiences numbness and while they were talking, he started feeling unwell and asked the driver to call for an ambulance.

Sadly, the ambulance didn't arrive and Rawal's driver, along with a few other people, took him to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital and from there he was referred to AIIMS. By the time he got shifted to AIIMS his condition deteriorated further and since then he is in coma.

We have heard that his friends from the industry Aamir Khan, Paresh Rawal and Firoz Nadiadwala have visited him in the hospital and are keeping a tab on his health. Vora's wife passed away in 2004 and he has no kids.

An award-winning writer, Neeraj has penned films like Garam Masala, Awara Paagal Deewana, Deewane Huye Paagal, Phir Hera Pheri and Ajnabee amongst several others.

We at MovieTalkies wish the multi-talented Neeraj a speedy recovery.
