उत्तर भारत में बारिश का कहर जारी रहने के बीच प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने स्थिति का जायजा लेने के लिए सोमवार को वरिष्ठ मंत्रियों और अधिकारियों से बात की। हिमाचल प्रदेश सहित उत्तर भारत में स्थिति गंभीर बनी हुई है। मुख्यमंत्री सुखविंदर सिंह सुक्खू ने लोगों से अपील की है कि वे भारी बारिश में, खासकर नदियों और नालों के पास न निकलें और अगले 24 घंटों तक सतर्क रहें क्योंकि मौसम विभाग ने भारी बारिश की चेतावनी दी है। पंजाब प्रमुख ने यह भी कहा कि वह जमीनी स्थिति को लेकर अधिकारियों के साथ लगातार संपर्क में हैं.

Prime minister Narendra Modi on Monday spoke to senior ministers and officials to take stock of the situation as rain continues to batter north India. Situation in north India, including in Himachal Pradesh, remains grim. Chief minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has appealed to the people to avoid venturing out in heavy rains, especially near rivers and nullahs, and remain vigilant for the next 24 hours as the Met department has warned of heavy rains. Punjab chief also said that he was in constant touch with officials about the ground situation.
