सिलक्यारा टनल में फंसे मजदूरों को निकालने की मुहिम 15वें दिन तक पहुंच चुकी है. मजदूरों को बाहर निकालने में इस्तेमाल हो रहे ऑगर मशीन में खराबी के बाद सुरंग में अब वर्टिकल ड्रिलिंग की तैयारी हो रही है. इंटरनेशनल टनल एक्सपर्ट अर्नोल्ड डिक्स ने बताया था कि लंबवत ड्रिलिंग ज्यादा समय लेने वाला और जटिल ऑप्शन है. सीएम धामी ने टनल में चल रहे राहत और बचाव के काम के संबंध में अधिकारियों से जानकारी ली. सीएम धामी ने अधिकारियों को कहा कि पाइप में फंसी ऑगर मशीन को तुरंत निकाला जाए और उसे निकालने के लिए जो भी मशीन या तकनीक का इस्तेमाल करना है, उसे भी तुरंत मंगाया जाए.

The operation to rescue the laborers trapped in the Silkyara Tunnel has reached the 15th day. After a malfunction in the auger machine being used to take out the workers, preparations are now being made for vertical drilling in the tunnel. International tunnel expert Arnold Dix had said that vertical drilling is a more time-consuming and complex option. CM Dhami took information from the officials regarding the relief and rescue work going on in the tunnel. CM Dhami told the officials that the auger machine stuck in the pipe should be removed immediately and whatever machine or technology has to be used to remove it, should also be called for immediately.
