17 सितंबर 1948 को हैदराबाद के निजाम ने सरदार पटेल के आगे सरेंडर कर दिया था और हैदराबाद का भारत में विलय मान लिया था. इस मुद्दे पर बीजेपी प्रवक्ता प्रेम शुक्ला ने पूछा कि हैदराबाद मुक्तिसंग्राम पर अगर उत्सव मनाया जाता है तो उसमे आपत्ति क्यों हो रही है.

On 17 September 1948, the Nizam of Hyderabad surrendered to Sardar Patel and accepted the merger of Hyderabad with India. On this issue, BJP spokesperson Prem Shukla asked why there is an objection on the celebration of Hyderabad Liberation Day.
